Presidents Letter
I am incredibly honoured to have been voted in as the new President of Hailsham Chamber of Commerce at our AGM.
At 32, I may be one of the youngest Chamber Presidents in the country, but having been an active member since 2018, I know just how important this role is for our business community.
As Sales Director of Stevens and Carter and Archer and Partners Estate Agents, I lead the area’s largest estate agency, working with a dynamic team of professionals. That experience in overseeing all aspects of a successful SME has given me invaluable insight into business growth, team leadership, and navigating challenges, all of which I will bring to my role as President.
My vision for the Chamber is clear, and that is to continue its growth, strengthen our foundations, and ensure that membership offers real value. I want to build on our existing connections while expanding the variety of businesses involved, attracting a broader demographic of professionals, and increasing exposure and opportunities for our members. The Chamber is in a fantastic position, and with the right drive and engagement, we can take it even further.

I’m lucky to have a strong committee alongside me. Clive Soper, our former President, remains involved as Vice President, offering continuity and guidance. Donna St-Claire continues as Chamber Secretary, while Lucy Fenner takes charge of our finances as Treasurer. James Golding is leading the redevelopment of our website, creating a modern and functional platform for members. Ryley Warwick continues his excellent work in marketing, driving engagement and promoting the Chamber, and our new events team will oversee events, ensuring we deliver a varied and exciting calendar.
I’m excited for what’s ahead and grateful for the support of our members. Together, we’ll ensure that the Hailsham Chamber of Commerce continues to thrive, providing the very best value and opportunities for local businesses

Membership Fees
We want to inform you about a small increase in our membership fees which was overwhelmingly voted in favour of during our AGM. This increase in fees enables us to continue enhancing member experiences and expanding exposure for all businesses within the Chamber whilst maintaining a relatively low cost for members.
Effective from 19th March 2025, the new membership fees will be:
- Standard Membership: £10 per month (previously £8.85 per month)
- Charity Membership: £7.50 per month (£90 annually) (previously £60 annually)
This adjustment will allow us to continue delivering exceptional networking opportunities, increased marketing exposure, and a greater range of events and initiatives. Our members will continue to benefit from invaluable business connections, promotional opportunities, and enhanced community engagement.
We appreciate your support as we strive to provide even more value to our members and the local business community. If you have any questions or would like further information, please feel free to reach out.
